10% OF ALL TICKET NET PROCEEDS DONATED TO NON-PROFITS DEDICATED TO SUICIDE PREVENTION
Our team's mission at Big As Texas is to have a positive and substantial economic and cultural impact on Montgomery County and the surrounding region; become one of the most anticipated annual events across the state of Texas while complementing to cultural fabric of our home state; and provide life-saving education and financial support to some of America’s most vulnerable communities that continued to be impacted by suicide.
To fulfill this final goal, we've chosen to launch our three-day festival in one of the fast-growing counties in the country - Montgomery County - which also happens to be facing an unprecedented epidemic with rapidly rising rates of suicide deaths. With an estimated 100+ suicides in America per day, suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States impacting millions of Americans and their families each year, with a growing number of deaths in Texas each year.
Due to these alarming statistics, we've decided to donate ten percent of net proceeds from each individual ticket sold to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that promote suicide death prevention both in Montgomery County and across Texas. Plus, we invite local experts, doctors, therapists, elected officials, and nonprofit organizations to join together each spring and help us make a major impact long after the festival ends on Sunday night.
