WHAT IS IT?
Big As Texas festival is an independently-produced Country and Americana music festival making its debut at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds outside of Houston, Texas on May 10-12, 2024.
With aspirations as large as the Lone Star State itself, our new three-day outdoor celebration features a world-class music lineup, plus dozens of Texas vendors and artisans alongside custom exhibitions, immersive art installations, live-fire grilling, carnival games, and more for attendees of all ages.

ARE KIDS ALLOWED?
Yes, children of all ages are allowed if accompanied by a parent and under close parental supervision at all times. Children 10 and under receive free admission. Remember, kids have sensitive ears and we recommend appropriate ear plugs and/or headsets to protect their ears. The festival will feature onsite kid friendly activities!
ARE THERE IN & OUT PRIVILEGES?
Yes! We understand that attendees might need to come and go throughout the day. Rest assured, our festival offers in and out privileges, allowing you the freedom to enjoy the event at your own pace.
Ticketing
How will I receive my wristbands?
All wristbands will be provided upon checkin at the gates each day. Please either print or have your phone ready to be scanned upon arrival. Please standby for box office schedule if you would like to pickup the week of.
NOT ALL TICKET PURCHASES COME WITH A CREDENTIAL. ALL TICKET PURCHASES WILL BE PRINT AT HOME AND SOME WILL INCLUDE A WRISTBAND. ALL WRISTBANDS WILL BE REDEEMED UPON CHECK IN AT THE FESTIVAL OR CAN BE PICKED UP AT DOSEY DOE BOX OFFICE PRIOR TO THE EVENT. PLEASE STANDBY FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS REGARDING BOX OFFICE AND CREDENTIAL PICKUP LOCATIONS.
Are my wristbands transferable?
NO. Each wristband is electronically attributed to its purchaser.
EACH TICKET PURCHASE IS ABLE TO BE REDEEMED ONE TIME. IF YOU PRINT AT HOME AND GIVE TO ANOTHER, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO USE IT. ONCE IT IS SCANNED, IT WILL BE VOID FOR THAT DAY.

2024 is already booked, however if you are interested in playing 2025, please direct all inquiries to Steve Said at doseydoeinc@gmail.com our enter our Throwdown; a competition to win a slot at the festival!
I am concerned my two favorite bands might be playing at the same time?
The goal of any talent buyer is to ensure a festival program full of ‘must see’ acts. If there are two acts,you love that are playing at the same time, then we have done our job correctly! That said, we do our best to allow mitigated overlap of band playing against each other so you can see a little bit of everything.
The name of the festival is ‘Big As Texas’. Why isn't every artist from Texas?
We have created a place setting for the best of Texas as well as beyond Texas. We celebrate this genre of music, as well as its cultural overlaps into other genres. We have fun, we book what we like, and this is going to be an amazing party. Of course, Texas is the best but we just love music.
Health and Safety
WHAT IF I BECOME ILL AT THE FESTIVAL?
Medical stations will be located throughout the festival site. Paramedics and EMTs will be roaming the festival site as well. Remember, medical staff are there to help you under any circumstances. Not to judge you. Not to arrest you. They are there only to make sure you are safe. If you, or a friend, feel ill for any reason whatsoever, immediately check in with our medical staff to make sure all is well. Your safety is more important than anything.
What to bring/not to bring
WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE FESTIVAL?
- Please note: BACKPACKS may be searched.
- CAMERAS: Personal cameras are allowed – bring them at your own risk. The promoters reserve the right to use photographs taken at the event in promotional materials.
- TOWEL OR BLANKET for sitting.
- CASH (SMALL BILLS) AND CREDIT CARDS. Cash and cards will be accepted for food, drinks, and memorabilia. There is no need to purchase food/drink tickets first. ATMs will be available throughout the fest grounds as well.
- Lawn/foldable chairs are permitted
- CERTIFIED SERVICE DOGS AND SMALL HORSES ONLY.
WHAT CAN I NOT BRING TO THE FESTIVAL?
- PETS of any kind are not allowed--for the exception of certified Service Animals
- MOTORIZED VEHICLES
- COOLERS
- TENTS, CANOPIES, or other big pointy obstructions.
- WEAPONS
- NO WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID OR FOOD IS ADMITTED
- Limited food for infants and toddlers is acceptable
WILL WATER BE AVAILABLE?
Water will be available for sale. Again, no outside food or drinks, including no water or water bottles, sealed or unsealed.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS AT Big As Texas?
NO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO, OR AUDIO RECORDING EQUIPMENT.
Detachable lenses are okay. Images taken at the festival may be used for festival promotional purposes.
CAN I BRING SERVICE ANIMALS TO THE FESTIVAL?
Pets are prohibited from entry onto the festival site yet service animals such as miniature horses and dogs which are specifically used to provide assistance to disabled individuals are permitted on a case by case basis. All attendees granted entry with a service animal will receive a document containing guidelines and responsibilities upon entry.
Parking
Big As Texas will feature on site parking as well as parking throughout the area. Parking will be announced as we approach the festival dates. We encourage all attendees to participate in ride share and carpooling to expedite your entry in and and out of the festival. Free, stand-alone parking will be severely limited. Ride share via Uber, Lyft, and others will feature convenient quick drop off and pick up points.
